I've been challenged. At least I think so.
I follow other's blogs. It's interesting, and fun. As a matter of fact, the one in which I'm writing of should probably consider being a preacher. The writer is smart and makes good points! (I wonder if this person's preacher has ever noticed?)
Anyways, the challenge is about being positive and recognizing what blessings I have.
I have to say that I usually do, but in my writings and when I talk to some people, it doesn't show near as much as it should. Honestly, I have to do better at it.
Thinking back, I remember having that thankful, positive attitude. I remember being able to laugh a lot, relax in tense moments, and thanking God for those little blessings, even when "crap had hit the fan".
Where did it go? I have no clue. It's probably still there, but just not as obvious as it should be. Maybe I've let old age sneak up on me. Maybe I'm worrying too much.
But like my brother once told me - I'm already a grandpa, why should I care what (other's) think of me? (Which on a funny side, just solidifies the old age part (JUST KIDDING).
So here it goes - for the next month, the real me is going to come back out.
It might be scary. Dogs might give me that "cockeyed head" look. I might even start laughing out loud.
If a "little old lady" can walk into one of my offices (I have an office in each city that I work in) and tell me about how she's on a limited income, but still tithes and writes her first check to the church every month, and depends on God to take care of her needs, then why can't everyone else, including me, have a great attitude?
Give thanks in the morning, give thanks before going to bed, and give thanks in between. It could always be worse, so why talk about it?
