I've got a secret and I can't stand it. Ugh!!

While on my walk today, I was asked a question that I hadn't been asked for months. But then again, I hadn't brought it up either.
I must admit that I felt "relieved" to talk about the situation with this person, because they could relate somewhat with how I felt, and what I was dealing with. It was like that "ton of bricks" was taken off my chest.
Being "in the public eye" has a large share of downers. The one I like to bring up a lot is the story of the little boy waiting to see what the preacher says when he hits his thumb with a hammer.

But those type of things hold true. People seem to expect a certain "view" in the mind's eye, and when they don't get what they want, they often are disappointed to the extent of lashing out. Yet, God forbid, the tables are ever turned on them.

I once talked with someone who told me how they were upset with someone, and we discussed why they were so upset. As it turned out, this person was a large portion of the root of the problem. But when confronted with that, I was told that I "didn't understand the whole story"...
.....Yeah, uh huh? Go on... continue... tell me the rest. I'm more than willing to let you finish
(That's when the person decided that it was time to get their nails done or something.)

We have to remember that we not perfect - not one of us. And if we want to point fingers, we need to be ready to get hammered with the facts against us. Our character is our witness.

Are we worthy to stand up to our accusations towards someone else? Are our hands clean enough to hand over the evidence? Can we testify and hold our heads up?

As a friend just pointed out as an example - if an ex tries to carry through on a threat to call the cops on a former spouse, the cops will arrest the ex instead. Too much evidence against the ex. (Insert "In your face" comment with attitude and dramatic flair).

Romans 3:23 says that we all sin and fall short of God's glory. I guess some people fall short on the common sense aspect as well.
